2026 Trout Sales

Brook Trout Pickup: May 4, 2026

Rainbow Trout Pickup: June 6, 2026

We have reached our Rainbow Trout order cap and are now sold out for the season due to hatchery limitations.

Any orders not yet received or confirmed will be subject to availability. We apologize for the inconvenience, as this was outside of our control. We’re happy to help connect you with nearby districts that may still have availability.

Why buy and stock brook and rainbow trout? Landowners and managers may stock trout for a variety of reasons:

  • Fishing recreation: Create and maintain fish opportunities

  • Land management: Balancing an ecosystem

  • Property value: A stocked pond can add to your home value

  • Ecological benefits: Helps with invasive species and water quality

You must have a valid stocking permit when ordering, and you must have the permit with you to pick up the fish. Stocking Permits are issued by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife in Augusta. IFW charges $10.00 for a 5-year permit. Applications for the permit are available online and at our office. Call 474-8323; we are happy to assist you with your permit and stocking questions.

Brook Trout are sourced from Mi'kmaq Farms & Fish Hatchery in Caribou. Rainbow Trout are sourced from Spectrum Trout of Paris, Maine. All sales are pre-order only.

You can now add fish food to your brook trout order.
