Join Somerset County Soil & Water Conservation District, University of Maine Cooperative Extension, the Maine Natural Areas Program (MNAP), Maine Forest Service, and additional partners for the 2026 Invasive Plant Educational Workshop.
This annual workshop is designed for home gardeners, landowners, foresters, and industry professionals interested in invasive plant identification and management strategies across forest, farm, and garden systems.
Participants will explore invasive plant biology, ecological impacts, identification methods, management strategies, and related state and federal programs through both classroom instruction and hands-on outdoor learning.

All participants will receive a copy of the Maine Invasive Plant Field Guide (a $25 value).
CCA, Maine Board of Pesticide, and SAF credits are anticipated.
Outdoor identification sessions will be held rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
