Presented by the Somerset County SWCD and Maine Woodland Owners Upper Kennebec Valley chapter. A persistent stream crossing problem has been fixed after more than half a century; come learn how.
Management projects are sometimes poorly done, with long-term negative impacts on nearby properties, public and private. This site visit will spotlight a stream relocation done by a landowner about 1960 that damaged fish passage and a town road. A MDEP grant to the Town of Starks corrected the problem.
The workshop is free and open to the public, and there is no need to preregister.
